Blown Glass, Stone, River water

This stone was a remnant from some of the demolition work that took place in the Tongass National Forest from the time I spent working there with the Conservation Corps. The rock was found in a pile of debris from the part of the river rock removed at construction at our work site. We spent four months building a fish pass for the local salmon population expansion. One day while working, a local fisherman passed through and explained to me how he goldmines with submarine sonar. This piece encapsulates these tiny moments of treasure & obscurity.
