These Terms of Service govern your use of the Christie Serpentine website ([website URL]) and any purchase made through it. By accessing this site or placing an order, you agree to the following terms.
1. The Work All works listed on this site are original, handmade pieces by Christie Serpentine. As with all handmade objects, slight variations in form, color, and surface are inherent to the process and are part of what makes each piece unique. Photographs are taken with care to represent works accurately, but minor differences in color may occur depending on screen calibration.
2. Purchasing By completing a purchase, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and that all information provided is accurate. Prices are listed in [EUR/GBP/USD — specify] and are subject to change without notice. Christie Serpentine reserves the right to cancel any order in the event of a pricing error or if a piece has already been sold.
3. Shipping & Delivery Works are carefully packed and shipped from Berlin, Germany. Delivery timelines vary by destination and carrier. Customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties, import taxes, or fees imposed by their country. Christie Serpentine is not responsible for delays caused by customs or carrier circumstances beyond our control.
4. Intellectual Property All images, texts, designs, and works featured on this website are the intellectual property of Christie Serpentine. Purchase of a physical work does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights. No image or content from this site may be reproduced, distributed, or used commercially without prior written permission.
5. Commissions Commission inquiries are welcomed. Terms specific to each commissioned work — including timeline, deposit, and scope — will be outlined in a separate written agreement. These Terms of Service apply in conjunction with that agreement.
6. Limitation of Liability Christie Serpentine's liability is limited to the purchase price of the item in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this site or the purchase of any work.
7. Governing Law These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes arising from purchases or use of this site will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Berlin, Germany.

Each piece created by Christie Serpentine is made by hand, one at a time. Because of the singular and irreplicable nature of handmade glass work, all sales are final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once an order has been placed or a commission has been confirmed.
Damaged or Lost in Transit We take great care in packaging every piece for safe travel. In the rare event that a work arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at [email address] with your order details and clear photographs of both the damage and the packaging. We will review each situation individually and do our best to find a fair resolution.
Christie Serpentine is not responsible for damage or loss caused by the carrier after handoff. We strongly recommend purchasing shipping insurance for higher-value works — this can be arranged upon request before shipment.
Commissions Custom and commissioned works require a non-refundable deposit at the time of agreement. This deposit secures your place in Christie's schedule and covers material costs. Full payment is due upon completion, prior to shipment or collection.
If you have questions before purchasing, we are always happy to speak with you. Please reach out at christie@serpentinegardenstudio.com
